This seed set has been assembled with one thing in mind. The ability for you to make one purchase and be done tobacco seed shopping. In almost any application, tobacco is best when combined in a blend of different varieties. This is perfect for homesteaders, preppers, or anyone who likes to do things their own way. This set will have you covered, whether you are packing a pipe, rolling a cigarette, or just love the history of growing tobacco! All varieties are sent in their own individual labeled packets. Each lot will contain 3,000+ seeds total. It will include 1,000+ each of Golden Burley, Black Sea Samsun Turkish, and Virginia Brightleaf. These represent the 3 major varieties in the tobacco family. Between them you can mix excellent cigarette tobacco, pipe tobacco blends, and roll American style cigars and cigarillos. Playing with different ratios and flavor profiles of the 3 is all part of the fun. All varieties are sent in their own individual labeled packets. 1. Golden Burley - This is probably our favorite tobacco of all time. The plants are both tall and very wide, producing large harvests. Leaves are enormous, reaching 34 in length and up to 18 across. It has a mild nutty flavor burley is know for. It air cures easier than any variety we know of. Leaves turn bright yellow when ripe. It cures to a light golden brown. Burley is an excellent base tobacco when mixing blends. Golden Burley cures incredibly easy, and is the #1 tobacco for new growers and experts alike. Medium/High nicotine. 2. Virginia Brightleaf - A excellent Virginia strain with a lot of history. Plants can reach enormous heights. Virginia Brightleaf holds our farms record for size, with one specimen reaching 14 feet tall. Long, pointed leaves with a deep green color. Dried color ranges from light buckskin to deep mahogany brown. Flavor is rich and sweet. Typically used in cigarette and pipe blends. Mild to Medium nicotine content. 3. Black Sea Samsun - This is a Oriental/Turkish variety that originates in the Samsun region of Turkey near the Black Sea. Samsun has a very unique, rich flavor. Plants and leaves are the smallest of the tobaccos listed here. The largest leaves measure around 12 long and 8 wide. Cured leaves range from bright yellow to deep brown. Plants usually grow to around 5-6 feet tall. Due to their smaller size plants can be spaced closer together in the garden. Medium nicotine.
